About Us

We are a group of British born adults with a passion to parade our culture. We give praise and admiration to our native lands and are thankful to be raised in this versatile culture, having roots from India and the Caribbean.

Our name derives from the term “Liming” meaning to hang out with family/friends. So whenever, wherever…WE LIMING! We recognise our Indo Caribbean culture in the UK is very niche and sometimes work and home life can prevent us from going back to visit our home countries. We understand that absolutely nothing can beat that moment when the aeroplane door opens and that sweet warm breeze hits your face, you just smile because you know you are home.

Our aim is to provide the UK with a home away from home experience, whether it be a cultural/religious day, a night time fete/show or a day time lime, we want to provide everyone with a true West Indian experience, just like back home! One of our many goals is to give our children and the community the same experience we had growing up, if not better!

We are a real family group who want to immerse children into our culture, pass down our knowledge and passion so it continues to live on in the UK. Our childhood was filled with so many fond memories of holidays back home, endless parties which were always family oriented, allowing us to be exposed to our culture from young, we grew up listening to our music (Calypso, Soca, Chutney, Indian) and was fortunate to meet and mix with other families within the same culture, these experiences have given us the passion and appreciation for who we are and what we have as a community.

We Liming stand side by side with all our beautiful Caribbean islands, as we come together to showcase our amazing culture and we hope to see you at one of our events really soon.
